Striking West Virginia county map constructed on a scale of  1 ½” per mile and showing fine detail.  Shows fine detail of land owners, roads, rail lines and general topographic features.  Lithographed in Philadelphia by the E.P. Knoll company who published many very well drawn and brightly colored local and regional maps into the early 20th century.  John P. Kearfott, likely the father of J.Baker, first published a Berkeley County map in 1849 on which this edition is most probably based.
